RUDIGER WAS DISMISSED FROM TRAINING AFTER A FIGHT WITH KEPA, JUST BEFORE THE WEST BROM THRASHING

German center half Antonio Rudiger was involved in a bust up with Spanish goalkeeper Keppa Arrizabbalaga on Easter, during the last training before Westbrom did the unimaginable at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

It was revealed by the Telegraph that the two clashed after disagreements sparked by a late tackle by Rudiger on the goalkeeper, who reacted strongly before things escalated into a physical confrontation.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel had to send his fellow German out of training just to calm things down, but it is also understood that Rudiger later apologized to Keppa and the club.

The German tactician whose 14-match unbeaten run as Blues boss came to an end with the crushing defeat to struggling West Brom, had warned his players not to lose their heads after the Westbrom game.

“We cannot lose our heads now and take away the trust we have in these players,” said Tuchel.

“It was the moment after the game to be honest, be calm and to tell everybody to breathe. This will be a hard evening for everybody. We had completely different plans on how to start this match day so we have to accept it now, it’s our first loss together. It’s important to find a way to deal with it together.” Said the former PSG boss who’s honeymoon period at Stamford Bridge came to an end on Saturday.

The news of the altercation will, however, do Tuchel no favors as his side now prepare for their Champions League quarter-final clash against Porto on Wednesday.

Chelsea now lie fourth on the log after playing 30 games have garnered 51 points, just two a drift from Liverpool and Westham who share 49 at fifth and sixth place.
