KPL WILL BE BORING IF K’OGALLO WINS IT AGAIN.

Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) chairman James Situma has reiterated that KPL will lack competiveness if other clubs allow Gor mahia fc to win this season’s league, hence boring

Speaking to Reuben fm after K’ogallo beat Afc leopards in the Mashemeji derby; the former Ingwe defender was not impressed.

“KPL now lacks steam. Gormahia have gelled well over the years and have an amazing chemistry, but this season they recruited over 15 new players. This is something that other clubs would have taken advantage of. KPL is now boring because only one team is dominant, this also makes the league noncompetitive,” a dejected Situma said and added that no wonder the league no longer attracts Africa’s top players.

K’ogallo’s win over arch rivals Ingwe has not only cemented their dominance in Kenyan football, but also proved that even the so called rivalry no longer has anything rivalry about. Gormahia now has 54 points after 23 matches played.

“I would honestly love to see Kakamega Homeboyz win this season’s championship. Under Muyoti, they have proved that chemistry can win games as opposed to signing big players. If another team ends Gormahia’s dominance, then it shows that our football has grown from one level to another.” The also one time Kakamega homeboyz player said with firmness.

Kakamega Homeboyz have now amassed 47 points after 22 games played. Just like log leaders Gormahia, they have lost three games. But Gormahia’s prowess seem to be their winning mentality as the Steve Pollack led side has now won 17 games, three more than Kakamega Homeboyz.

Also keen to note are the number of matches that Kakamega homeboyz have tied. They have played five games so far that resulted them into only getting a point while K’ogallo have done so three times only.

As the title race for KPL tightens up in sharp corners, all eyes now are on Gormahia, the 18 time champions to defend the title they won last season.
