American WBC heavyweight 2020 title holder Deontay Wilder on Thursday confirmed that he still hopes to fight Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr in the remaining years of his career and also hinted at a Tyson Fury trilogy as a target bout, referring to this as the ‘obvious’ choice.
Reports from Talk Sport say that Wilder still thinks that Fury did not win fairly against him in February 2020, calling the affair a robbery.
“Without naming the obvious that people obviously know, I’d love to fight guys I haven’t fought. You know, the ones at the top who I haven’t fought, haven’t got my hands on, that’s what I want,” said Wilder.
In February 2020, Tyson Fury proved more tactical flooring the American down to win the bout, something that Wilder thinks was not fair to him. Fury floored Wilder twice and stopped him in round seven of their rematch .
“I know that’s kinda lame a little bit, to not name a name, but anyone I have not faced at the top, I’m talking about you.” Wilder said.
Though the world of sports has almost been stoipped because of the pandemic, with much efforts geared towards getting vaccines to everyone, Wilder’s wishes if they come true, then that’s a must to watch live.
