Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has agreed to a five year deal to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer according to Sky Sport’s report on Wednesday afternoon.
The 28 year old had earlier on announced in February that he will leave the Bavarians after spending 13 years with the German power house.
Alaba who has played 79 times for Austria, is among other big names set to leave Bayern Munich after Spaniard Thiago Alcantara last transfer window.
There has been a growing unrest in last year’s champions’ league winners’ dressing room as head coach Hansi Flick is becoming frustrated with his stars not being given new contracts, a rumor that has also added that Flick is also set to leave and might take over Joachim Loew’s national duties.
Flick previously served under Joachim at the German national side before joining Bayern Munich.
Sky sports have also reported that both clubs are going to announce Alaba’s departure soon.
