Fake P2 Pills In Mukuru health reporting

Mukuru is one of the largest slums in Kenya with the highest number of recoded number of births, this is
caused by the increased number in sale of fake pregnancy preventive pills known as postinor 2. In
Mukuru most people get these pills from nearby chemist that are mostly operated by unqualified people
and they don’t even know where these drugs come from since they are just sold by individuals who are
not accredited by the government health institutions.
Increase in number of birth related complications and other sicknesses brought about by these fake
preganacy preventive drugs are on the rise in Mukuru.

Mukuru ikiwemo ni moja wapo ya vitongoji duni vinavyongoza katika kurekodi ongezeko la Watoto
kuzaliwa ,hii ni kwa sababu ya kuwemo na ongezeko la uuzaji wa dawa ghushi za kuzuia kupata mimba
zijulikazazo kama postinor 2 au P2 kwa lugha ya mtaani. Baadhi ya sehemu ambazo vijana hasa wale wa
kike wanapo zipata ni kwenye maduka madogo ya kuuuza dawa yajulikanayo kama “Chemist” na mara
nyingi huwa zina wahudumu ambao hawajahitimu . dawa hizi za iana ya p2 huwa hazinunuliwi kwa
maduka ya kiserikali bali watu wasiojulikana ndio huleta bila kujua zitokako.
Makala hay ani kuweka wazi hasa dawa hizi huwa zimetengenezwa na kemikali gani na kama ni salama
kwa matumizi ya binadamu.
