SHUT UP! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND MY BOTTOM UP ECONOMIC MODEL, DP RUTO FIGHTS BACK

Deputy President William Ruto has fired back at his critics of the ‘Bottoms Up Economic Model’ telling them to shut up and learn if they do not understand it.

Speaking on Monday, the DP defended his model and emphasized that it is aimed at empowering the weak in society.

“There is a big debate about this model, it is really confusing you people. But it is about remembering the weak in our society so that we can generate productivity from the grassroots,” said the DP.

ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wengula have poked holes in the model and termed it as theoretical as opposed to being practical.

“You Guys have been talking too much about this model. We don’t need it, go use it in classrooms to teach professors about models and theories, all Kenyans want is to know how we will pay our international debts and reduce taxes,” said ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi.

Wetangula also added that Ruto’s ideas were not practical in Kenya now. According to him, Kenya should be encouraged to a liberalized economy where citizens are taught to be independent as the government creates a conducive environment to thrive in and not be dished out with money and free gifts.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga on the other hand is insisting on a Macro Economic Vision that is aimed at making Kenya the Africa’s headquarters for global business. According to Raila, by also focusing on the Micro economic aspects, his models aim at encouraging hard work, discipline and clear career progressions based on merit.

The former prime minister continues to insist that his model will eliminate tribalism and nepotism as conflict of interest will be minimized and this will be beneficial to all Kenyans.

The 2020 gear is now high as most presidential candidates take turns to tear up each other with little compliments, in a bid to woo voters, but most importantly in Kenya, to excite and somehow confuse them.

With the elections still scheduled for next year in August, the race continues as the war of words intensifies.
