English clubs Arsenal have had their bid rejected again for Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, it has been revealed.
Reports from Spain say that outcast midfielder Matteo Guendouzi had been included as part of the deal to get Thomas Partey, but Atletico rejected it.
Arsenal’s first bid a fortnight ago was 22.5 Million pounds, but the Diego Simeone led side now seems to be a hard nut to crack.
Atletico are adamant they will not sell Partey for release than the release clause in his contract, which totals €50m (£45.5m).
Mikel Arteta is desperate to overhaul his squad after a rather disappointing 8th place finish, but knows he will have to generate transfer funds before players can be brought in.
Matteo Guendouzi is reportedly not in good terms with Arteta and might be on his way out of the Emirates, though his preferred club is Barcelona.
