Admin Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa ranted on the reports that he has not spoken in parliament for two years, claiming that lobby groups will do anything to stay in business even at the expense of ‘someone’s’ good name.
Speaking exclusively on Ruben Fm’s Changamka Show on Tuesday morning, the MP was not afraid to call the report bogus and challenged Mzalendo Trust to take a tour of his constituency.
“Why should I speak in parliament just to be noticed?” Aladwa asked.
“Most of these guys who are noisy on the floor of the parliament have zero development in their constituencies. Judge me based on the results of my work and track record since 1992 when I started politics,” said the 51 year old legislator who also added that his track record could not be compared to any other MP before him.
Aladwa also was keen to detail how his leadership has worked for the people of Makadara, insisting that his legacy will always be remembered with better educational infrastructures and fairness that shunned away tribalism.
“I never had an opportunity to go to school and learn as I wanted during my formative years. This only happened when I became an adult and that is the main reason why I always want my constituents to learn. Now we have built a new school {Star of Hope} from the ground up in Viwandani ward and have some of the brightest students coming from the same,” the tough talking Aladwa said with a punch on the table, almost rattling the ears of the listeners.
The MP also disclosed that he wants to run for a second term though his closest allies want him to join the gubernatorial race, something that he said is still in the closet.
Now Aladwa has challenged Mzalendo Trust, a lobby group that last month released a detailed report and named him among 34 MP’s who never uttered a word in parliament the year 2020, to take a tour of Makadara Constituency and relate his silence in parliament with the results on the ground.
