RISKY, DANGEROUS AS KENYANS NOW CROSS OVER TO TANZANIA FOR PARTIES AND CHURCH, THEN BACK BEFORE CURFEW HOURS

Kenyans are now crossing over the Namanga border to neighboring country Tanzania to drink alcohol, party and attend church services then quickly return back before the 8pm curfew time, it has now been revealed.

The movement restrictions announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta in and out of five counties, clearly have no impact on Kajiado County which borders Tanzania.

“In Tanzania there are no laws of wearing masks and washing your hands regularly with sanitizers. The border also is not closed or monitored of who goes in or comes out, so we are free to move as we like,” said an unknown man who frequents Tanzania for drinking sprees.

With this new development, the country might be at risk of new strains that have been reported from Tanzania, now coming into Kenya.

A closer look at the Kenya Tanzania Namanga border reveals that Covid 19 restrictions are not fully enforced.

March 26, Antony Sguazzin writing for The daily Maverick according to him a report submitted to the World Health Organization and regional bodies shows  a new strain which has 10 more mutations than found on any other version, according to Tulio de Oliveira, director of Krisp, a scientific institute that carries out genetic testing for 10 African nations.

Krisp, discovered a new strain in South Africa last year that propelled a resurgence of infections in the country also found the new variant in travelers arriving in Angola from Tanzania.

The most mutated variant of the coronavirus yet was found in travelers from Tanzania, prompting scientists to call for greater monitoring in a country that has largely ignored the pandemic.

Now Kenyans have resulted to attend churches and bars in Tanzania where there are no restrictions against Covid 19.
