Ruben Center will on Saturday 25th launch their new playing ground in Mukuru slums, Nairobi County.
The event will be played on a 9-aside mini pitch and has seen Ruben Center staff charged.
“We are going to have fun, but for sure this will be a memorable event. This is the first green natural playing ground in Mukuru slums. Ruben fm we have our team already, trust me ‘the other guys’ will just be present, for us we are going to make them cry, they will regret trying to challenge us in a game of football,” flamboyant and arrogant speaking Kaka Beru, Ruben Fm’s morning show presenter was in high hopes.
The idea of Ruben Fm winning the maiden trophy has been highly hyped also by Mishe Mishe show presenter Caroline Wambere who also warned arch rivals Ruben Center to stay at home and observe the Covid-19 laws and regulations, instead of showing up to be embarrassed.
Caro also added that incase the Fadhili Sunday led team will pull a surprise win, then that won’t be news. As the editor, she will make sure that whoever does that as news is suspended for 14 days, but if Ruben Fm wins, then madam welfare as she is also known has promised her charges a goat eating party.
The highly talking journalists however have been brushed off as just mere talkers.
“Well I will excuse them, most of these guys work in radio and it is their job to talk. But just wait for that day and see. Me and my team are currently running five kilometers every day as we prepare to shut these guys out,’ said a soft spoken Fadhili Sunday junior, head of Employment Agency at Ruben Center.
Ruben Fm’s station manager Thomas ‘Odhis” Odhiambo has urged the stations followers to be keen on radio as they get updated on the event.
“It is a proud moment for us here at Ruben Center to have the first green natural playing ground in Embakasi Constituency. Due to corona virus, we can’t have fans around here unfortunately, but we continue to promise them good as we also have plans to nurture talents here at Ruben Center,” said Odhis who also warned the cowardly looking Salama Center led by shot stopper Jared Omae, team captain Anette Kimeu and dangerous striker Ivana Waweru to try some other sport as football wasn’t really ‘their thing’.Ruben Center will also have for the first time Rugby
