IBRA TO PLAY FOR MILAN IN HIS 40TH BIRTHDAY AFTER AGREEING TO A CONTRACT EXTENSION

Controversial Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic extended his contact with Italian giants Ac Milan on Thursday until the summer of 2022.

The big swede who turns 40 in October will earn seven million pounds a year with the new deal and is optimistic of his future.

“If Maldini wants it, then am up for it,” he earlier on quipped as the Rossoneri have been reported to want to keep him based on his influence to the club and young players.

Ibrahimovic announced ‘the saga continues’ with a picture of himself signing the contract on his social media pages on Thursday much more to the reaction of fans globally.

 AC Milan later announced that the Club has extended Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract and issued a statement.

“AC Milan is the Club for which Zlatan has played the most in Italy. After scoring 84 goals in 130 appearances with the Rossoneri, the Swedish striker will continue to be wearing the red and black jersey next season.”

Ibrahimovic’s 15 Serie A goals look set to help Milan qualify for Champions League football for the first time since 2014.

Milan are second in the table and lead fifth-placed Napoli by three points with six matches to play.
