The NGO Council Members and stakeholders on Saturday participated in a community clean up Service during the Launch of a national environmental national Clean-up campaign held at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
Speaking at the event, the council’s national chairperson Mr. Stephen Cheboi was optimistic that they are on course to achieve their goal.
“We shall work with partners to ensure every part of our nation is clean. Please Join the NGO Council on this noble and worthy cause of a clean environment,” said Cheboi who also added that plans are underway to do the same in other counties.
The Council and its members began the Community Environmental clean-up exercise in the City of Nairobi.
They now believe that after the launch of the event, clean environments and Peaceful societies with partnerships will lead to a peaceful nation as the country gears up for the 2022 general elections.
The Council, its NGO Members and partners seek to work with all stakeholders on this monthly environmental clean-up exercise and campaign for a peaceful Kenyan.
Politicians have now been challenged to engage in the exercise to make Kenyan communities clean and environmentally friendly.
