In a Facebook post, Citizen TV has clarified that Dr SK Macharia is not on any social media platforms.
A Twitter screenshot claiming to show the Royal Media Services (RMS) Chairman Dr SK Macharia assuring Azimio la Umoja supporters in a tweet that victory is on their side is FAKE.
“What is the pressure all about. I assure Kenyans that victory is by our side,” the Twitter screenshot reads.
SK Macharia, has on previous occasions endorsed Azimio la Umoja Presidential Aspirant Raila Odinga for the top seat.
But did he assure the Azimio la Umoja supporters that victory was on their side? We checked.

We searched for the Twitter account that had posted the tweet we are fact-checking and realised it had been suspended. A Twitter account can be suspended for spamming, if the account security is at risk, or if the account shares abusive tweets. A Twitter account can also be suspended for violating Twitter rules.
We also came across a Facebook post on Citizen TV’s Facebook page denouncing all accounts claiming to belong to SK Macharia.
“This is to inform the general public that Dr SK Macharia, Chairman of the Royal Media Services does not have any social media accounts on Facebook or Twitter or any other social media platforms,” Citizen TV, which is a TV station under RMS, posted.
