Reports from Carrington have indicated that Manchester United might be forced to sell six players this coming summer.
Olegunnar Solskajaer has reportedly told his employers that he is preparing to part ways with up to six fringe players so he can fund the signing of strong additions to his squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Solskjaer wants to bring in his number one transfer target Jadon Sancho, who could cost in excess of £100m from Borussia Dortmund.
United is set to listen to offers for Ashley Young, Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot.
Sanchez, Rojo and Smalling have been on loan at Inter, Estudiantes and Roma respectively this season.
Meanwhile, Jones, Dalot and Lingard have struggled for first-team minutes under Solskjaer.
Jones has made just eight appearances in another injury-ravaged campaign, while Dalot has appeared 11 times due to the form of £50million signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The report adds that, United are looking to also add a striker, with Odion Ighalo’s loan deal running out next January, and a central defender to partner Harry Maguire too.
Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly and Inter Milan’s centre-back Milan Skriniar have both been linked with moves to Old Trafford.
